Particle editor issue

Hey guyz, been a while.
So what's with that particle editor, does it work?
I tried it, opened cleansers.pcf, created new particle system, made my red fizzler (lol lame, i know) and saved the file to blah-blah/portal/portal/particles.
entered particle system's name in entity's name field, but particles don't show up.
What am i doing wrong?

look at the in-game console, does it say it couldn't find the particle file?

Guess so.
