How would I go about setting up a box to fizzle when a button is pressed (pretty much just "how do you fizzle shit without a fizzler")?

I've never tried this before, but you could create a huge fizzler that covers the whole area and there might be a way to deactivate it.
yes, I just checked there is a way to deactivate it.
Then set the button to activate it.

Please read. I don't want to cover my whole map in a fizzler, that's way too much work.

Try having the trigger_portal_cleanser parent to the box or whatever. (Make sure it is over it.) When you want to fizzle it, make a output to the cleanser to fizzle it.

Don't think that will work either, things get screwy when you try to parent stuff through portals. There's no way to do it through outputs? I'd use Kill but it just dissapears and that's not very pro at all.

There is no way to fizzle through an output because it is a partial effect. I create a large fizzler around the room (not huge, inside the room) and set it to box only. I disable it and fire it when needed. It won't affect the player. This is the best method I found.
