Portal:Access All Areas [WIP]
this mod takes place after the events of portal. it shows the enrichment centre with every and all area accessable to the player. it follows the less-followed theory that chell meeting GLaDOS was planned and that the "ratman" rooms and empty observatory rooms were part of the test to make chell go against GLaDOS (any/all arguments you may have with my theory, please PM me. please don't clogging up this thread)
anyway, as the note says, no preview as of yet. all the maps are here, unreleased due to the last few bugs being fixed like the changelevels, corridors and lighting issues.
anyway, I so far have a mapper, a material maker, a map detail manager and 3 beta testers on tow.
but I still need a modeler and two mappers to work on a separate project together, so anyone think they can help, please PM me.
moddb (all content has been removed until the V1 of the mod is done and packaged into an installer. screenshots will be added earlier)

Good luck picking up people without posting any proof of concept. If you want people to help, you need to let them know that they will be working with competent and talented others. Everyone has ideas, only dedication and talent can bring them to life.
Mhmm, As the Mod founder you have to do a good chuck of the mod, (I'll say, 15-20%) of the mod file before recurring people. It is also smart to start out with professional pictures (Not pictures with no lighting, Yes I saw your old ModDB page. It was pretty sad, no offense.)
It is also smart to not be the Idea guy of making everything in the "story". Tho, I saw that you map, but you saying in you post

So, don't aspect them to do everything you say, cause I saw a few cases that people like the general concept, but when the leader tells EXACTLY what to do, that is when a mod fails.
Tho, I might be wrong on a few of the comments that are aiming toward you, but those are my thoughts on why most mods tend to fail.
I hope that helps. . .

I might be able to map, but will i be working with noobs? or people who have experience or what? This being your first post on here makes me nervous
I have been going from place to place, facepunch (got loads of flames there as it seems everyone think garry's gone courupt ever sinch Gmod 10 and so, flaming and personal insults ensued)
myaperturelabs (got hassle from one of those "professionals", though it was a first release and-I admit-it was very plain and bad)
and moddb. which so far is the most accepting.
well, I have about 3 months expirience, but as it was half term, it counts for a lot more. I made the first mod map (about my 7th map I'd made, but the previous was just testing and getting good at mapping) map, knowing I needed to add more, I released it, thinking "ah well. it's better than nothing", which was very wrong (hence why I removed everything)
I have someone who's mapping skills are great and-within a week-they made a great map, 90% what I thought it would look like (a little off, but ah well. it can be corrected later)
I have someone to put in the desks, lights, chairs, basically, to go over it and put in all the tiny details and the wall furniture, which is great as it's one of my weaker skills
I have 3 beta testers, all very useful and-as one's my cousin-all very honest with their judgement
basically, I have the staff to make this mod very good. all I need to do it tell them what goes where. I usually do this by floorplans and rough concept drawings

well, I'm no photographer. I don't know how to do that, at what angle etc.
as we have someone to help with design, this is no longer a problem, and I acknowledge the pictures were bad due to lighting issues. I have since taken steps to make sure that doesn't happen again.
well, I'm not exactly the "idea guy". I do encourage other people's ideas as shown in the moddb forum and the steam community. at this point, we have enough ideas to make this mod last for a year or two, not just a week.
I do encourage individual contributions for the maps. my mapper was alowed to make his own skin for a cube, which'll appear in the game. I do allow contributions, as long as it fits in with the concept of the main core of the map.
and I WILL release this mod
hell, 30-40% of my study leave for school may be spent making this as I don't learn by going over things, but by memory, which is good to an extent.
This is a video game, not a book.

I don't see a single screenshot yet. Everything you have just said is worthless and null without any proof. This is a video game, not a book.
as I said, end of sunday.

Traditionally, requesting for help, and especially on a first post, a person would take time to format a proper post. Not post 1/4 of a post and the rest a week later.

Hi dude. I'll be happy to compose any music if you need. I know you didn't say you needed a musician but I've made music for own maps and would enjoy making moreMaz
that'd be great. we hadn't planned to start on music quite so soon, but we do need someone to help with sound.

sure, a first post here, but check the others. myaperturelabs, tribalwars, portal's forum. I am not new to forums, and moreover, I know:
A)how to write a good post
B)when and how to respond to a post.
sure, this forum, I only have a few posts, but what difference does it truely make?
also. sunday is tomorrow, not next week :S. it's 10:22 saterday here :/
and trust me, I'm working flat out to reach that deadline

Proper punctuation and spelling is a good start.
I spell a lot better than many people on the internet, thanks. and I'm not too good with grammar, and never have been. nearly every sentence I make is spelled right and has fairly good grammar.
purely out of interest, where did I go wrong on grammar and spelling im my last post?

Perhaps you should proof read before you submit then.

what did I even spell wrong?
on a side note: I'm submitting pictures to moddb now

yes, I know it's dark. we'll fix that before the final release.

one of the most important parts of the map. it doesn't work properly, but can work only once in reverse
Hope that helps, cause your screens are kinda crappy. :/

I haven't got nvidia, and this is a laptop. so, I can't set AA or set the other things to max. so.... :/
Then let the person with the highest system specs take them. .
