My first map.Ever.And my first mappack,too.It will contain some testchambers(undecided number,now it contains 2,one unfinished)of an increasing difficulty.Since it's my first map,any comment/suggestion is accepted.
Story
GLaDOS,as soon as he was activated,discovered that Aperture Science had another building in Europe.Even if it was older than the main building,GLaDOS's plan was to take control on it,too.The employers,howerer,weren't adviced of the failed experiment of GLaDOS and they continued to do experiments.GLaDOS,after some attempts,breaked though the main computer of the other ASEC building and took control of it remotely.GLaDOS killed every employee with deadly traps such the neurotoxin.After killing the employees,it's time for test subject n?8 to go through the deadly Portal test...

PLEASE NOTE:These screens comes from an alpha version of the map that I'm currently building.These may (and some will) change in the final version of the map pack.
In these screens the crosshair has been disabled for a better view of the map.
This next screenshot represents an unfinished piece of the 2nd test chamber.It WILL be changed in the final version (also look at the observation room:it has desks only!)

Q:Why the observation windows aren't made with frosted glass?
A:They're made with normal glass for making the envivroment look older.

A:There's no date.It's coming when it's done.

However, you need to work on your lighting. One light in each room set to 800 is not going to work. There are tutorials out there for observation room lighting, wall lights, etc. Even if you do use a single light, at least make sure it's the right color, as described here. You have to scroll down a bit, but a post is there about lighting colors.
I'm going to modify the lights and re-upload the screens tomorrow.

In the first screenshot,the light comes from a little light in the ceiling (you can't see in the screenshot but it's in the map and in the video)
In the second one,the light comes from the observation room (near the ashpd) and from an hole in the ceiling (it isn't in the screenshor but it is in the video)
In the third one the light comes from the observation window but there is another light object near the turret that hasn't a source.I'm going to fix it with all the other light sources.
Also i know that my geometry is plain but that's just my style

The standard colour for all portal chambers is "183 204 218"

I agree with sleeper. Maps that have plain geometry like this one look amateurish to say the least.

What I note on this video is that one cannot either rate or comment on it. Is that because you don't want a whole bunch of 1s and comments like "you (aren't good, except more offensive) at mapping and at playing at once", or is this topic the only place to comment (unlikely, because the video doesn't link to this topic)?
a. the lighting
and
b. the poles for the moving platform thins aren't the ones used in portal
other than that it looks a ton better than mine!!!
p.s. that's why I make gmod maps, cuz it really doesn't matter for detail much
