i just got some an awosme idea. feel free to use it for your maps.

it is a machine you go in and you shrink.

thats right you shrink. and you can go through small passage ways that you normaly can't fit through and you also beome faster.

here are some times of cool gravity ideas.

1 there is a beam of light. you touch it and you get sent in a certain direction(walls ceilings or floors).

another is not that different. it just has more of a puzzle to it. you shoot a portal and when you go in you come out and gravity is different. for example. you come out of a portal on the floor you get set to the ceilling. a left wass right wall, ceilling floor and so on. same thing can apply to objects

and last but not least somthing i like to call bouncers. it is basicly a wall that has green energy. if you shoot the portak bounces of it abd heads to the location desiered so you don't have to line it up. this is good for rooms where you walk right in and die and need to sneak by.

Good ideas! I have one too. Weightless Companion Cube. It's Cube with zero gravity so its speed remains constant (or zero). The start force rules the momentum. So you can do many new tricks with it. Example put it moving over the goo to the other side or throw it to the portal on ceiling with slow speed. It's like in Portal - Prelude, but it's the cube itself, not the gravity field

I thought to use that in Minipuzzles 4 - weightless love

BTW the MP3 is 95% ready

from now on this is a "share your map ideas to the public topic"

maybe an admin can change topic title to that.

any way here is one. portal switches. it's an area where you shoot a portal and as long as it remains in the button area the switch is activated. and you can go through the portals to.

I'd like to see more use of the "bullet time" feature. Having to interact with NPC's and escaping from Combines or other creatures would be cool. I know this already have been done with more or less succes.

Differnent lights settings. I have an idea where you have to light up a room to see we're you're going. You would have to shoot a portal in the dark room, another portal in a well lighted room, and drag it's light through portal. I don't know if it's even possible.

I'm pretty sure it isn't, as the light doesn't seem to travel well through portals

It's not possible to actually 'shrink' the player. However, you could create a second version of the test chamber which is larger, and teleport the player in there upon entering the machine to create the sense of being shrunk.

a cool mission or somthing. you sneaking around and you have to avoid being seen by the cameras by using portals and hiding beind junk.

edit: that shrinking idea might not work. i would have to make every object (switches cubes and turrets ten times bigger.
