[Question] Portal 2 Collab in Hammer

So I just got the Portal 2 Collab and I would like to use the textures, models and sounds in Hammer but not as you normally use them. You usually just copy and paste the folders over and there you go, custom textures. But I want to distribute my map after this. So instead of replacing the default textures with the collab...is there a folder to put them where Hammer will recognize them as shared textures? I just want them have their own separate filter categorys (in model viewer, sound browser and texture browser) and have them "available in all mods". Just like the HL2 stuff.

Is this possible?

Hey, kinda off topic, but where can you get the portal 2 collab? I can't find it

I want it to be shared with all mods like the HL2 things.

But about embedding...do you mean with pakrat? What about models, sounds and scenes?

I really couldn't, I kept finding individual downloads instead of a full pack, thanks for the link btw

Oh....I guess that works.

EDIT: However, I still wanted to be 100% organized because I am such...a perfectionist! >_<

So I went in...and changed every...single...file...so it now has it's own filter path....and I can use it with the regular portal textures....put aside........pant pant

Omg I am so mentally tired now, I think I changed at least 400 VMT files. :mrgreen:

I had downloaded a map that had custom reskins for the elements in it packed with either pakrat or packBSP, and when I played the orginal game those reskins replaced the normal skins. I am sure it was the map itself because the only thing I downloaded WAS the map itself, and it was further proved when I deleted the map: the reskins dissapeared.
