[Portal 2] Custom textures zipped into BSP?

I'm trying to add custom textures and sounds to my gravity changing maps to make them easier to understand which way the gravity is going in them but whenever i try to add custom textures or sounds they are "missing from the disk repository" tried putting the stuff in the VPK but that didn't work either because GCFscape doesn't let you write to the file so i started trying to use pakrat and packBSP and things like that which did not work because the BSP version is different from what they are used to reading so does anyone know how to get custom files zipped into the map kinda like how the coop Colours map does?

Pakrat might not have been updated for the latest BSP format yet. Patience, young one.

Also, yeah Pakrat is almost certainly the tool for this, it just hasn't been revised yet.

Although ive never messed with it outside of pakrat, bsp's are just glorified zip files.

Its not the best way but im guessing its currently the only (if it will even work to add your own stuff)
just rename to .zip, open, try some different things.
