Where do I have to put the maps I download here to play them?

Most likely:
Portal 2: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\maps
Portal 1: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\<steamuserid>\portal\portal\maps
Then you have to use the developer console (there's a keybind for that in the options menu somewhere) and type "map <mapname>" to start an individual map.
