I just watched a youtube video of test chamber 17 with no portals:

There are a couple of versions posted, and also this one completing test chamber 15 with only 7 portals:

Both used the same exploit of taking a physics prop and grabbing it while jumping on it. Is this what "wallclimbing" is?

I think I did this one with two portals by portaling into the little room with all the cameras on the floor and then just piled them up and put the cube on top of them. Took a while to get them balanced, but it worked. I can't even do that stupid jump/physics object thing. anyhow.

That's what I did, too. Though I'm able to walljump, I don't use it.

Here is a video of my friend's LEGITIMATE method to beat Challenge 17 using no portals. He cut out all of the parts that weren't needed.

Note how disappointed he was on his first try where the orb just BARELY didn't make it to the catcher
