If you aim it exactly you should be able to place it... I got it without having to place it while in mid-air...

Great map! Is the excursion funnel and light bridge supposed to go through the panel on the ceiling in the second last chamber?

Door opens when you get near it, there isn't any other trigger to open it. I could make it stay open in the start though. And how you can get there without using the funnel? :S

Okay, trigger opening that door is not going all the way into the ceiling, so you might have went over it somehow. I am going an updated version with these bugs fixed soon.

E: And demo file is enough

don't actually know how to do a demo file, but I have recorded the video already... youtube is being stupid and can't seem to process it... lol

You just type "record NAME" to console and then "stop" when you want to stop recording demo file. Then that demo file appears to your Portal 2 folder.

I also want to know how you can (could) beat last chamber with only 2 portals

the place where I placed the portal twice, the first time you fire it it snaps to the center, then the second time you place a portal on it you can place the portal on the side of the panel... if the portal didn't snap the first time you could just place it exactly where I wanted...

This was fun. A little bland visually IMHO, but the puzzles were good.

Was the intended solution in the second area to drop the speed gel from the funnel, then quickly put the light bridge underneath of it before it falls? That's how I did it. Might be a bit too much of a reflex challenge for some IMO, but I was able to do it fine.

I had trouble placing my portal at the end of the light bridge in the final room. It took around a dozen shots before one finally caught. Maybe just widen that portal surface, then use an info_placement_helper to center the portal at the end of the bridge (although I think I read that bridges generate their own, so maybe the extra entity is unnecessary).

Yes, it was intended solution for 2nd area. And you don't need that fast reflexes, just pop 2 portals almost next to each other

And about placing portal in the last area. I copied that platform where you place portal from official map. Bad thing is if I make it any wider portal might get in angle which makes rest of the puzzle harder. But I don't know if it is worse than being unable to place portal. I have already info_placement_helper there, so that's why you get your portal there easier when you shoot around that white area . Gonna do something about that when I know what to do.

haha, yeah, I realised that last night... I clearly can't count... lol
edit: after playing around I have found an actual way of doing the 3rd chamber in 2 portals
will try out this demo thing to show you

that's the demo but unfortunately demos must stop recording when you die... that last jump is really tricky to get (have to jump underneath the hard light bridge...) I got it after a few goes but if the demo recorder stops after every time you die it will be annoying to get...

I started playing custom maps and record me playing them. It's neither a perfect run nor do I have to have solved the map in the way it's meant to solve it. I play the maps "blind", that means I've never been in them before and play them for the very first time. I also give a little feedback for the map in the video description.

I enjoyed this one; the puzzles were pretty easy to figure out, but still fun to do, like most Valve maps.

Great that you enjoyed this map! Most likely this is the last version unless some bugs are found.
