Wouldn't it be better to honor the guys still alive? I mean, they're still alive?

That's what Veteran's day is for (November 11).

While I fully honour the dead, the day is just dripping in military support of wars, that are only fought for resources, not for security.
Coupled with the fact that america doesn't even listen to it's veterans over stopping wars? and don't provide sufficient aftercare?
ugh. it's not even my country, but it's frustrating.

for it's proper meaning, I fully support this day, and share my sympathy, as well as sharing my anger with those still alive, wanting the conflict to end.

This line got to me. Unless you've experienced war first hand there should be no way you can fully empathise with a veteran.

Correction. I, in general, get to you, for some strange reason that I suspect I know, but am far too polite to blurt out in such a thread.

I do not pretend to know what it is like to be on the field, and honestly wish no-one was on such a field. Furthermore, I did not say my anger equaled or overcame the veterans. I simply shared anger that they have directed to, say, wall street, obama, the media, the CIA etc. etc.

I am agreeing with Jomonay on this one, you cannot EVER compare to being in the same situation. Period. You can be very angry about it, which I am too, but you cannot say you understand it, because noone can unless they went through it themselves.

I am not in the same situation, nor do I say any feelings I have are stronger than veterans. I am stating solidarity with those people. I will never know how bad it has been for them, which like I stated beforehand, I do not believe America, along with Europe of course, give sufficient care to veterans once they have ended their tours.

Likely, I suspect my aspergers, or cultural differences is behind this particular issue. Let me be clear. I am, 100% absolutely not stating I feel any stronger about issues they face or feel strongly for.

Congrats for making someone regret attempting to highlight the plight of protesting veterans, that are completely ignored by the media in favour of war mongering.

Again. Not saying I am in any way understanding it anywhere near the level they do. I can only hope you can see that, and this thread does not turn into arguing, which would be HIGHLY disrespectful of them, let alone any mistakes I have made that does not appease american cultures.

^this.
All that matters is paying respect to veterans. And while I worded in a way some of you misinterpreted, there's only been 3/4 posts explicitly doing so, including my own. And I'm the English one here!

Edit:Vansulli, that comic is amazing. I've got to edit that for everyday use.

If you're feeling intelligent message me and we'll find out.

What I was trying to say was: Yes, the veteran care is an issue we need to sort, but this blind "FIX THIS OBAMA" mindset always pisses me off. Being in charge of a country is probably one of hardest things to do, and cannot be simplified to that level.

Any bitch fighting will now be taken in PM's, I apologise for you having to see my opinions.
