How much are people fans of it here? I have...ideas that would benefit from knowing.

no-one here will beat me on Mario Kart 64 time trials.

and I goddamn DARE you to compete on Bowser's Castle. your cart won't even touch the floor I swear to god.

but, back to the topic, yes. I do like Mario Kart. hate the wii/gamecube versions. the N64 is the best, and the only version that should be considered in a true mario kart competition.

So that's one person at least. Good to know. Irritatingly, I've never actually played the N64 version, and I don't remember the GameCube one. The Wii version was/is dire though.

get a N64 and get it.

or use an emulator. but, use a N64 controller regardless.

I've spent many hours in the DS version (the old one, haven't played the 3DS version)

Have to agree, wii version kind of sucks...

I think I played Double Dash once, but I don't remember it enough to judge.

if I still had my N64, you'd be creamed. I usually played either as Toad (speed) or Bowser (challenge), and the castle map kept slipping me up at the last lava jump before the course is restarted. I always mistimed the jump and fell just short of it lol.

Its funny that the only version of the game that will let people compete remotely together is the one nobody on here likes.

What do you mean "compete together"? Multiplayer was in most/all of them, or have I got the wrong end of the stick? Again.

I meant online multiplayer; pretty sure there's nothing internetted on N64.

Ah, compete remotely together, not compete remotely together.

Interesting.

Well because of my age and my parents refusing to buy me a console until I was 11, I've only played the DS version once on my cousin's DS for 2 minutes. Luckily I got a Wii and I can play it on that platform, but I only play with my dad or friends sometimes just to have fun :biggrin2:
