SITE TRANSFER PROCEDURES GO
AS long as we retain some sort of control on our end, I have zero problems with this. Perhaps together we can revive interest in the Portal community.

Hey, lets be fair here, your community doesn't exactly welcome newcomers to the mapping scene.
Granted, my project was far too large, and I was literally just entering mapping, but I was essentially chased out of there, with the owner at the forefront, while being told to stop mapping forever. Can you really blame me for not trusting you, even now?I am naturally still wary of any deal made with MSleeper, but if the terms are correct, I will certainly be eating some humble pie. Gladly so, as it would make her seem less vicious than the MSleeper I encountered all that while ago. A lot more generous too.
In short: If the terms are right, you are less of a ass than I thought you were, and I mean that in the kindest way possible.

God using that smiley/actually kind words to MSleeper is so unnatural what is even happening>
Yeah gee, maybe my response to you acting like a twat four years ago is not actually indicative of anything after all. Who would have guessed?
I was new to the mapping scene, and had seen multiplayer portal through other videos. I had ideas for a mod, mappers and texturers and a coder. I was confident I could do it, I had just underestimated the effort.
Also, my coder /did/ get portals working graphically, for the most part. It was the physics she was trying to code that was the main issue. Yet you all kept saying it was impossible, even though we have a steady trickle of progress on the portals back then. I apologise if I had personally gone after you, but from the looks of it, while my new-to-the-modding-scene mentality and overuse of the :3 smiley was badly unrealistic, it truly didn't deserve the flaming it had got.
I concur, it was a long time, and ordinarily it would be childish to hold a grudge that long. However, bearing in mind this was the very start, it was pivotal to if I had continued mapping or not, which I decided to do so on this site, where the community were more patient.
Everyone has a start, and not everyone has a good start. Particularly one who does have a social handicap, however small it may be. But I shan't hide behind that completely.
I digress, as I know these can get heated. But in my head, we were trying to make Portal so much greater than it already was, a goal that I'm sure both communities would be behind. And we were making real progress, before the inevitability of Real Life caught up with our team, as it usually does for most mod teams.
Also, I did not lie about that steamworks email. we legitimately did get a reply from steam about hosting the mod through them. I think the offer has expired by now though.
Cut it the duck out.
ok
But yeah, thanks msleeper for your help. Not really sure why you did, still appreciate it tho.
Fantastic.

I was telling a friend of mine the situation, and his assessment of the situation is that I've owned Boardwalk and just got Park Place. But, more realistically, as I was telling p0rtalplayer on Steam, I really hate seeing content go away and all other things being equal I want to do what I can to preserve it. Workshop notwithstanding, the best Portal content is now under a single roof, and I think in the end that will benefit everyone.

I'm betting that whatever service you use had your IP blocked or something like that. So now that the domain is on a new address, your stuff works again.

Just please try to not take the game metaphor too far.
Or, at least, the best way I could possibly write it without it being a u-turn or kissass attempt

Me too. He was a horrible admin. When I locked his thread because he kept spamming his doubts with like, three new threads on the viability of Off Topic, even though it was the most active forum on the board, then and now, he went crazy and asked 4chan to hack me, while also leaving a link to mAL there, opening us to danger. Was crazy
Pretty ok guy, but didn't do admining well.
Colossal Edit
Because people are lazy, here's a link to said thread.
