I really want that for my map I'm working on.
Anyone know what I should do? is it possible? it seems it was caused by a commentary node entity. any way I can do this with the entities in Portal 2?

You can always research in other maps. Decompile some maps that have them and see how they did it*. There are two maps/series I know of for Portal 2 that take control of your view, Pneumatic Diversity Tests 1/3 and Cleanup! 01 :: Invertigo.
*This does not mean steal it straight from the map, just look at how it was done.
I have one last issue. the camera seems to be very wild, and not follow the path, if I use this method. it sorta follows to the right of the path, meaning the alignment for what I want to do (enter a teeny tiny doorway) is off. it needs accurate so the camera doesn't clip into the func_detail.
any thoughts?
EDIT: I am now trying to simply move the viewpoint from the player to the second viewpoint, and let a second one take control from there. it seems stationary viewpoints do not like this. still confused. the player->viewpoint interactions seem very shoddy in Source.
Decided to add an actual vmf to demonstrate the problem

The camera is MEANT to pan from the player view to look at the doorframe of the house, and then enter it, in one smooth transition.
Note: there are two cameras, as I tried a 2-step solution, which only half worked. unfortunately, only the half I got working already.

Smooth movement (ramping in/out) is difficult, if not impossible, to achieve in Source with hammer entities (I will note that the demo editor allows smoothing, though I don't think these paths can be exported to hammer). Your best bet is to keep adding path nodes until it "feels" smooth.

It does feel smooth! the issue is the accuracy from player-camera now. I need the view to go from the players view to the camera. not sure how.
The way the camera moves into the house is smooth, but now, I need to connect the player's view to the camera's, then swap them over, and let it do it's zooming into the house.

I've tried everywhere, and no dice. It is so frustrating!
