PS2 Nightfire was /AMAZING/.

the first proper AI in a multiplayer-portion of a game, fighting as almost-equals.

no game since has come close to replicating the balance and fluidity those bots had for MP. you could ALMOST mistake them for being real humans.

the only issues were reaction times and jitter. other than that, identical to an actual person.

also their tendency to stand still whilst totally exposed, but i agree that they were/are super fun to play against. scaramanga was always a bastard to kill. my personal favourite was running along the rails in the one with the cable cars in the snow on the massive hill.

i've never quite understood the different between taco's and burrito's, and where that leaves soft taco's.

Same here. I liked the helecopters too, but you could never really use them well.

I was so good with the maps at one point, I was able to sentinel anyone I could see on-screen at nearly any location, by precisely shooting the guided rockets into the roof above them, or into the doors, or down the castle staircase.

mannnnnnn my older brother did the same thing to such an extent that me and his friends refused to play it with him because of how sucky every game was haha. if you want the most ridiculous game ever go on the explosives weapon set on the phoenix base map; the explosion radius for the rocker launcher is stupidly huge and the game space is really small so you end up getting over 100 kills if you play over 10 minutes. i would highly reccommend it.
