Instance Sizing
Posted Jun 16, 2011
I was wondering if anyone could help me, im trying to make an instance of sliding doors, ive got it working fine but when I put it into my map it shows up absolutely massive. (not the physical parts, but the square around them) So when i put it in my map and line up the doors where i want them, i get leaks because the area around them sticks out off the edge of my map :/
so i guess what im asking is is there any way to control how much of the instance vmf gets included, cause it seems to be including an awful lot of empty space.
thanks

Is the subject of your instance at the origin?

Is the big square around the object skip? Because if the doors are inside your map there shouldn't be any leaks.
I would suggest collapsing the instance and seeing what makes it leak.

no its not skip, when you select the instance it selects a big area of nothing with it. when you say collapse the instance, what exactly do you mean? sorry, im new to this

That is awfully strange. What instance did you use if you don't mind me asking?
