Very badly. I have been trying to map for quite the time, and have got very little progress.
I don't know if this is an error, or me failing.
I had a pretty good tutorial, but I lost it.
If you have any good tutorials I would appreciate it. (I prefer videos)
The error I have:
When I select my texture and make hollow (-8) I only get white lines instead of the textures I want.

Have you got the 3D view set to '3D Texture'? Move the camera about in the 3D view to see if you aren't actually within the shape you are making hollow.
