Hi,

i'm trying to record my runs but once i die/reload and mayb even save the demo seems to stop recording.

When i play back the demo afterwards it's just all black and i get max fps, pressing shift-F2 kinda tells me the demo is over.

How can i get arround that? thanks in advance

What I did was type "bind t "record YOUR MAPNAME HERE"" in the console and then just hit t a lot when the loading is about to finish. It's not a very good solution, but it seems to work.

The problem is that the demo just ends whenever i die, idk if it's supposed to do that, but i don't like it.

It is and there's no way around it exept what he's said above; making a new deemo when you die. (exept in coop but I am not even sure if you can make demos in coop)

is there any way to script a binding that does not automatically use the same name for the demo again?

Like adding a number when the file already exists? i checked valve dev forums but the official thread didn't really tell. I guess thats not and option ;( is it?
