Lighting in elevators

Heya there,

I am using the elevator instances in my map. However, when I am doing the lighting for the elevators I come across a strange problem...

No matter what lights, no matter where I place them, no matter how bright etc I set the lights...the floor of the elevator stays pitch black.

It's rather annoying as people have been mentioning it when they play my maps.

Anyone have the solution? As otherwise I will just leave it, as I have spent ages trying to solve it.

Edit the ring around the floor in the instance to have 'Disable shadows' srt to true. There is a proper way of doing this that was mentioned recently, but I can't remember it, and this works as well.

Compile with Full compile -both -final- (slow) and the problem will be fixed.

This has been talked about a LOT for a VERY long time. Go into the instance and disable shadows on the object that acts as the floor.

lol I posted this as you posted yours rubrica... sry

"Another Bad Pun" has the best solution. I can guarantee that the problem will resolve with a full, final compile.

Thank you. That was what I was after.

Although it did take me a while to figure out I needed to click on 'expert' to change the option to a full compile.

Ah well, you learn something new everyday. =]
