Map freezes on ninth circle

I am remaking some destroyed Portal 1 test chambers. I am using a decompiled Chamber 11 map to give me some ideas. After making my chosen edits in hammer, publishing and copying it to my maps folder, I ran it with the map command. The loading screen worked fine until the 9th circle, where it froze (NOTE: the loading simply stopped, the game did not become unresponsive. After a few seconds, pressing the console button will yield a black screen with the pause menu and a console full of spam (lots of <s, >s, %s and MANY 0s). Can anyone help?

I can tell you, in fairly good confidence, that what you're looking at is a dump; data which caused an unexpected situation to arise in the program is dumped to the console so the programmers/map designers can figure out what went wrong.

I can also say, with good confidence, that your map or something in it is to blame. Sadly, beyond that...I don't know.

Does your map have a reeeaaaaly long name? cause that can screw with things. try renaming your map to something shorter.

thanks nugget it was called sp_enhancement_underground_01_clean. Shortening that fixed the problem.
