Ditto to that, though valve didn't think it was cheating, they think it's a way to score cash, that's why they didn't remove the scores, if you see the leader boards saying 0-2 portals, it was either a glitch or a hydra

I disagree, The Hydra is how I play Portal 2 now. This is a similar argument of Controller Vs Keyboard. For example, would some one call it unfair for someone on a PC was using custom configs for a cross-platform game? (Like CS:GO). Not talking about cheating configs, I mean like weapon switching, crosshair size, and other game preferences. How you pick to play is up to you. Nothing stops you (Besides your wallet) from buying the Hydra.* Also, there is only a few maps where portal surfing becomes useful. I only found Pull The Rug, and Crazy Box to be the case, although in Crazy Box, you have to glitch the portal. But I would not use the Hydra for least time, unless you are so used to the high sensitivity, and there is no interference with the controllers.

I only count cheating if you noclipped, did some weird physics bug, or use custom configs to bunny hop. But don't say that how people play is cheating itself. Valve could have easily limited the Sixense functions, but I have a feeling that they totally forgot about it since the Sixense DLC was broke when the DLC launched.

It's not available in all countries. That's why I called it an unfair advantage to those who have it. Heck, I rarely heard anything about Hydra here in the U.S. And if the Hydra does move portals around without affecting the Portal count, then I would call that cheating.
I'm not trying to criticize you for using Hydra, I bet it's pretty cool. But when it comes to the scoreboards, moving portals is not okay, considering not everyone has the chance to buy Hydra.

If the hydra allows you to manipulate portals in a way not available to ALL players, then it is cheating.
Moving portals around? Really? That's COMPLETELY a cheat (especially in least portal challenges) because part of the point of getting least portals is finding a way to make ONE portal count as much as possible. If you can move it around, then it's pointless.
I didn't realize that using the hydra allowed you to play the other parts of the games, or atleast not the challenges. That's totally lame.

But I agree, Its an advantage, no doubt. However, I disagree it having a dirty title of a cheat. Valve has the call to disable One to One and Portal Surfing for Least Portals, and only enable motion tracking like they did in Co-op. If they see it as unfair, they will disable it, if they see its fair, they will keep it. If they don't care, they will do nothing.

Anyway, my best time, I just beat my friend by a few milliseconds. (Pull The Rug)

um... Valve didn't make the Hydra and since FAR fewer people play portal with a hydra than without it, it may have not have even occurred to them to disable it for the challenges. The "motion only" effect in Coop may have just been a side affect due to the extra coding "checks" that coop does.
