Portal 2 Mechanics remade for Portal.
Out of curiosity, I wanted to take a short break from Blue Portals and join the rush to remake Portal 2 for Portal. I know I got mentioned a lot up on Facepunch a lot even though I'm not a part of that mess. So I decided to share it here:
Now although I don't have all the textures right to the bone, in the Diversity Vents and the Discouragement Beam maps, I studied the Portal 2 videos and was able to remake the map to the very unit the best I could.
Before you go all: "Wheres the download link?" These are not very. . . Public ready. That is, it breaks if you do something stupid. Now, When I mean "break" I don't mean "door will not open", or "If you place a box here, this will happen", etc I mean the game will crash.
I'm thinking about going back and try to fix these errors, however It will subtract time from Blue Portals and I really don't wanna waste any more time. (Also, Colossal would kill me.)

So, how did you manage to get the funnel going through the portal?
Its actually a set of entities its kinda a BP secret.

I think it's because it demonstrates mapping skill. Yes, it will be obsolete in six months because an engine/SDK update will facilitate the creation of those mechanics; however, if you're able to set up a rig that realistically replicates the mechanics in the current engine (which is obviously not built for them) it says something about your mapping ability.

I mostly did it for fun, really. I've learned a lot of things doing Portal 2 stuff, and most importantly got more people to support Blue Portals.
Its pretty much all an experimental and promotional game which in-fact my Hammer Notepad videos was all about from day one.
So when are we going to get our Exclusive TWP release?

I don't really know since I'm ether experimenting or working on Blue Portals. Only did that Portal 2 Map for a contest. Once the site starts to kick back up, I'll treat TWP and myApertureLabs the same or any future releases I tend to do.
