Blocking laser but not funnel

Hello. In my puzzle I have a block that should block the player, a cube and a laser, but not the funnel.
So far I have a nonsolid func_brush textured with glass in a nice frame and all, playerclip over lapping this, and another func_clip_vphysics overlapping. However, it does not block the laser yet.

Can anyone tell me what I should do?

Might require scripting... You know you can have multiple funnels in a level right... You might want to test that.

Nah, Multiple funnels won't help.

Can you link me to a guide about the scripting thing you mentioned?
(other solutions are still welcomed)

First of all, to stop both players and physics objects you can use the tools/toolsclip texture instead of multiple brushes (it blocks everything). Funnels don't pass through any kind of brush, no matter what it's made of; but, as always, solving problems by making the puzzle more complex is always welcome when working on a Portal map. In your case I'd suggest adding a light bridge which would block everything you said (except the laser) and allow the funnel to pass through. You can later use the hard light bridge for something else in your puzzle.

Actually, I think they can pass through metal grates. Not to mention a lot of brush entities.

Actually the funnel does pass through the current setup, and tools/toolsclip blocks it.
And believe me, it's super complex the way it is. ?? ?????? ?? ????? ??????? ??? ??? ????? ?? ????? ??? ????? ?? ?????, ??????? ????, ???? ??????. ?? ??? ?? ???? ??????. (that was some hebrew for a fellow israeli)
The light bridge idea wouldn't work because I need the laser blocked.

Anyhow, I just figured a way around it, using laser relays. However it would really mess with the map visuals (the whole thing is way up near the ceiling. I would have to create two mountains from the floor or the ceiling, and the rooms isn't that big) and the puzzle's visual simplicity, and would make understanding the puzzle both unchallenging and an headache, because you'll know where the laser has to pass through, but also will need to figure out how the relays and the laser catchers and the (puzzlegoal) interacts.

You could put the laser relays on the ceiling rather than extending from the floor.

Yep, I mentioned that option  ("from the floor or the ceiling)

anyways, I found a way aroud that too by tweeking the goal a bit, but it still would be better if the laser was blocked by the glass frame, so for that or for the discussion feel free to post your solution anyway.

Thanks for the helpers.

You need to play with the code or just make sure you can't let the funnel pass.
