Can i edit how a sound, sounds? with out editing the file? (like echoing)

not really. it's just like editing models, animations, textures, etc. You really have to edit it outside in an exterior program and port it back in to make it work properly.

It's made into the sound files. Ambient_generic has also some effects but I haven't tried them.

Sometimes you have echos or other effects because of the soundscape. Thats some kind of sound defining entity, based on txt files in your scripts folder. It's DSP value sets sound effects (echos) for a room.

But in the case of GlaDos in Portal 1, they just edited it in, like JakeeeD said.

I was going to say use a soundscape and change the DSP :razz:
