I'm making a map based after the storyline of portal, and I didn't want to clash with the continuity of the main game, so I made a new 'test subject' texture that dosen't look (exactly) like chell:

I changed the hair, eyes and lips.

Anyone els is welcome to use...

or http://www.mediafire.com/?c2gdsy0pzbd

Hope you dig!

looks pretty good, The hair is a little odd though.

Also put [release] in the title and a mod will move it to the release section where it should go

Also, upload it to the download database - dload.php

Yeah, the hair did come out kinda weird... I wish I wasn't limited to just one model, because other than making her skin very dark, I can't really change her appearance much.

If only valve would give us a few more models to mess with..

Make sure that the new skin doesn't apply in the real Portal. Do this by making a new model and using a point_clientcommand and "playermodel <modelname>" (I think)

I hear Msleeper is reskinning buttons and boxes and all kinds of stuff for some kind of themed color map. But I guess that's not the kind of model you're looking for, eh?

Not really what I want either, I'm after the same sort of thing as BritishConcept, a new character model

Doesn't work, the console says ```
Unknown command: playermodel

```
According to the Valve wiki, it's setmodel.
Before I posted it, I spent hours trying to figure out how to make the new skin only appear in a specific custom map, but I couldn't get it to work.
I thought maybe if I used a vmt to set the chell_face.vft as a secondary texture (like how the companion cube has two textures and you can specify which one you want to use), but I'm not sure how to I would make it effect the player 'in game'.
Can anyone explain how I might use that?
