I started making this out of boredom.
My goal is not to remake portal 1:1, but to recreate it completely out of memory and how i would have made Portal 1.

Thoughts?

The maps I already played give me the same pic like this video about your project: Some very excellent work.
The idea to recreate Portal 1 by memory and not just by remastering decompiled maps is a interesting way. That gives a lot of additional possibilities to add details, change room sizes to better ones etc. All in one it's a great idea and so far a very good looking and playable project.

Amazing work. It's things like the relaxation vault and other elements that make it clear you're giving this your own twist that make this look so damn good.

I would love to see your version of the escape!
Seriously, keep up the good work. I'll be sure to play it.

And yet again, nice work! Love how the dark tiles spread out. Only thing I'd change, though it's not such a big deal, is creating a piston or something below the floor under the orange portal.

EDIT:> audiotrash wrote:

Oh, it usually has 4 of those robot arms under it. Looks like i forgot to set the default animation and they are "idle" underwater

Ah, well, everything still looks amazing. Keep going!

No, not really. But it shouldn't take too long. I've done 3 maps with 10 chambers already. (well, the 10th is in the works). Also, i do not want to rush this. I am mapping because i find it enjoyable, not because i want to stress myself

Anyone who wants to help is welcome: Testing, Mapping, Sounds, New Player skin, whatever you are good at, contact me

Looks great, and I hate to cast a shadow on it, but...does anybody remember Skinnycap making a map-pack called Deja Vu? Or is my memory failing here? Reep, Sleeper, some of you guys, I'm relying on your recollection here.

This was a really great mappack. I hope you'll bring more, like the still alive maps.

Yeah, So I've gotten to speedrun this mod. I'm kinda happy with the run. A lot of improvements possible though I did this only on 7 segments. Here you go:

P.S. The audio sometimes is not same as video and sometimes no audio at all.

Hells yes! How much time do you put into these? Once again incredible.
One thing I personally think you might change, though, is the organized cluster of glass light. (Oh, and one indicator light line seems to lead to nowhere on the floor) The rest looks incredible.

Again, I would really like to see your take on the escape!
