Signage Textures

I am trying to make a signage texture over a door in my map that has a signage texture of a companion cube on it.

But in-game it isn't there. There is just a blank space in the sign frame. But If I die and go back to it I can see it but its messed up. Any ideas?

This is the texture that doesn't work in-game for me.

Also the turret one doesn't work.

Also, is there a complete list of the signage textures from portal some where?

Yeah you can find a list in the material browser within Hammer, and maybe re-installing Portal might help, perhaps it didn't download those Textures.

Also, make sure that you are using those as overlays and aren't applying them to a brush as a texture. They have an alpha mask on them which makes them somewhat transparant, and will cause lots of visual errors if you try to apply them to a brush face.

I was using a brush not an overlay. So it has to be an overlay? I can use some signage textures with out errors. Thanks for replying.

There are two versions however, a brush one, and a overlay one. The overlay has the Overlay word in it.
