In the middle of the room there is a prototype cube which is called "Container cube". It can consist laser, light bridge and even gels. In this test the prototype cube on;ly has laser. Use this device to get to the goal.

This is my second map and I had problems adding start/exit elevators so I deleted them ( I watched on youtube how to make it but all ways had a leak eventhough I putted all map in nodraw box) .

The sencond map with "Container cube" will have light bridge and laser.

version 1.1 :
* added a bit more lighting.
* fixed the middle platform.
* added a bit of a ending.

Nice idea but little bit too easy puzzle. I still enjoyed it. You could add elevators to the start and the end to give it a better feel. 4/5

Nice easy short map. As Shakky said it needs a proper entrance and exit elevator. Oh, and where are the gels?

I forgot to mention that I will be working with this "container cube" and in time it will have light bridges and gels. So I just forgot to say "In this map container cube hold only laser". My bad.

Fun map!

I loved the moving cube concept, and how it was pretty well thought out. Also, intro\exit elevators are annoying, so it was nice not to have 'em. It was maybe just a little short, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the upgraded cube brings

Other than that, it would've been nice if it was more obvious that you have to hold the button to place the floor portal or to have a little message at the end like "you win!".
At the end, I was hunting around the console trying to remember the flashlight command :p

Anyhoo, cheers for this. Here's my hungover blindrun

Edit: should be available about 5-10 mins after post.

I recorded a blind playthrough of your map:

I'm not picky about starting and ending elevators in standalone maps, but you really must disconnect at the end. An end of playtest message is nice, too.

The puzzle in this was quite simple, and did very little to show off what might be possible with your new toy. Everything you did here could be accomplished with native elements. However, I can seee the potential of combining multiple functions into a single device as a means of constraining a puzzle.

I generally don't worry about the looks of demo levels (btw, I think this should have been in WIP) but this one is too dark, even with the game and the monitor brightness turned all the way up. Vary your textures from all that black, and add some lights.

So, you have a lot of work to do to prove this concept, but you had to start somewhere. 3/5.

Lighting is something I still need to learn about. At first I made a map full with lighting but it didn't had the feeling I was looking for so... I deleted most of them. From the video I can see that some areas indeed need to be lighted and a bit fixing the middle platform (under the huge cube).

The starting and the end was a act of lazyness, as in the future I will be adding them.

Thank you for your posts and the videos, it realy helping me out to find the problems which i didn't notice.

As for this map, I will update it.

This was very easy, but I do like the general idea. You have a lot of work to do, but I am looking forward to the outcome.
3/5, thanks for mapping!

Very nice map - all elements worked fine and game play flowed smoothly. I like small chamber maps - nice to play a different type of laser puzzle for a change. Thanks for making!
