All i wanted was as many links to as many trustworthy sites as possible that could teach me everything i wanted to know so i didnt have to come here and ask ever little thing and wait for hours or even days for a response. GOOGLE wastes my time with a big fat load of malware sites and crap that leads to nowhere.

Basic stuff check the links from mapping-help/new-to-mapping-never-used-source-sdk-before-look-here-t1024.html other then that mapping-help/mapping-tips-and-useful-links-t468.html has lots of useful links.

I'd like to answer your questions IF YOU ACTUALLY POST A QUESTION instead of keep talking in all caps how we don't help you.

Hehehehe.... I like this sentence alot Fracture. You completely glossed over the whole point of my post. Maybe I should put it in a language you like and thus should understand ....

One search of google. One search of google, thats all I did to find these. I must have typed under 30 letters, lets see; "H a m m e r S o u r c e T u t o r i a l s"... around 21 letters...approx 5minutes of time even for a one-finger typer... ... and then a little bit of time looking and learning and clicking on stuff and reading and listening... .. if YOU could have been bothered to spend 5minutes of YOUR time looking for yourself, you could have saved HOURS of both your time and everybody elses here before ranting and raving and making a pr*ck of yourself talking about wasting time... ... .

End of my newb rant... can we get back to the happy helpful place I think this site is and should be ?....

Just trying to give some advice
If it's time you have that is limited try to focus on just one thing a day, hell even one thing a week. Plan your time effectively. I get about three hours a night (more if I stay up late, but I'll pay for it tomorrow!) ... eg; tonight I will learn every possible way I can manipulate a Hard Light Bridge. I'm not even going to open hammer. I'm going to spend three or four hours just watching, listening and reading what other people did, and take my own notes. Tomorrow I will open Hammer and see if my notes make sense, did I learn anything new. Did I learn stuff about the light bridge that relates to those two days of learning about both of the common paints (orange-speedy and blue-bouncy). ONLY if I think I have exhausted every thread for the first 20-30pages of google responses to "Hard Lard bridges", will I stop trying to learn any more... only then will I go and try and do something in hammer. If I get stuck or can't figure out what I'm trying to do, I'll go and spend another day learning about it, sometimes reading the same things again. If I'm really stuck I'll take down some references from stuff I've tried. Different methods I've used to be stuck in the same way. All the symptoms of my problem and the steps I have done to try and solve the problem. I'll go back to my notes to see if I missed something obvious! ((eg;of course a the rotating_door needs to have the x-flag set to rotate around that axis, doh!)).... .. then I'll give it a day or two thinking it over before * considering * to ask someone to help me, another day or two before I actually ask. And at least a week trying all the suggestions before begging if someone can do it for me. So a newb can do something for me that I could have done myself, and now I look like an impatient d*ck, SHOUTING for no reason and arguing with all the people that are trying to help me. I haven't even got around to actually asking my specific question yet or giving them any indication that I tried anything on my own, or what I've already tried.

Patients and time. Learn to use them well. They will help you in Hammer and in your life in general.

Again I know when it's late and I've had a bit to drink my posts can sometimes cause unnecessary offence to some people including the person they are aimed at (and for that matter myself when I read them in the morning!). That is not my intention here! I'm just trying to be helpful.

These threads are either stickied or even announcements, they shouldn't take more then 15 seconds to find when browsing to the mapping help and discussion section...

I think it's the best if we close this thread now since the original problem is done and the discussion about helping and links is also over. If you have any other questions, feel free to start a new thread
