Portal Placement Entity/Brush?

Quick an easy question:

How do you make it so that when I fire a portal towards a 128x128 wall it places itself in a certain way? The area is big enough to place two portals on, but no matter where you shoot the first portal is supposed to place itself in the middle.

I've gone through some entities and couldn't find something like it. Am I supposed to use brushes in a certain way?

We usually don't close threads that ask valid questions, because they might become useful in the future again. Only spam posts and/or questions that have been asked a gazillion times before are locked.

To add to this, since the wiki article is pretty incomplete;

The entity has a bunch of arrows of different colors. The thick red arrow points towards the top of your portal, so just place the entity flush with the brush with that arrow pointing in the direction your portal will go.

Also, remember to manually input the angles into the X Y Z in the properties. If you try to rotate it by hand, your portals might be at weird angles slightly and screw up your puzzle.

Which red arrow? There are 2. (The fat one and the skinny one. I know but other people may be like huh?)

The fat red one is the direction away from the surface.
The fat blue one is the up side of the portal.

This is an image to show how I use them:

No one wrote about it but ; There is no placement helper entity in Portal 1 so you should use portal bumpers covering 128x128 wall.

Actually, there is, but it's a brush entity. I believe its func_portal_placement or something similar.
