Lethal laser and cubes

Hi, I wonder if there's a solution to a lethal laser being redirected by a cube but as a non-lethal one.
(Im not interested in mcgayver solutions like using a thin tr_hurt)

In this case, you will need to change the core programming of the portal 2 game, and that would not only be highly dangerous, but also incredibly difficult.
Did you know that one can jump through the normal laser without getting hurt?
Or did you refer to the deathfield with the term "lethal laser"?

Yea, this will either involve a hell of a lot work with trigger_hurts and other stuff or changing the unavailable source code...
