The method that works best for me is to boot up Hammer and Portal 2. Run portal 2 in a window (or window fullscreen) so you can quickly alt-tab. Then when you compile in hammer, make sure you have "Don't run the game after compiling" checked. Lastly, alt-tab to Portal 2 and run your map from the console.

I never get issues this way.

If your problem isn't that, but rather something in the map that is kicking you out, make sure to look in your console to see what is going on. It should give you some idea.

Also, pls don't all caps your thread titles.

Have you been using the vertex tool to carve brushes? Do you have a brush or other object near/outside of the max grid? Does the player fall very far out of the world? Have you restated happen? Does Alt+P show you anything? Is your map built on grid and properly sealed?
