My First Map EVER
Please be kind...

personally I don't think there's too much of a puzzle, but I designed it so it's hard to tell... Think I eliminated shortcuts, and stuck points as well.. Feedback appreciated
v1.2 coming shortly..
Lack of save points in pti sucks!.. and no doors... momentum is all fukked up etc..

I got stuck after around 1 minute of playing (stuck as in can't complete the chamber no matter what I do) since I didn't bring the cube with me This is more of a maze than a puzzle.
You're trying to divide the map into different sections, which is a good thing, but it's not obvious if you need the cube in any of the other rooms and it makes for confusing gameplay. The fact that you have to carry the cube around the map and put it down, pick it up, put it down, pick it up makes it tedious to play...
If you're going for a "bring the cube with you" map you have to do something similar to Portal 1 when they introduced the companion cube. You had to bring the cube with you to progress. It's the same concept, but here it's 10 more buttons to press and no real though about the puzzles...
I know it's your first map, but this puzzle isn't good in my opinion. Practice makes perfect
OK can tell where you're stuck... from description.. don't know why yo wouldn't bring the cube, but will fix with a portalable surface to get cube... would prolly need anyway in case it got destroyed at some point.. haddn't thought of that either.. cheers!
You need a starting puzzle that makes it obvious to the player that he needs the cube in order to progress. Play the map from Portal 1 for some inspiration.

It is perfectly "fair" to prevent the forums from being flooded by 10 thousand topics about workshop maps.
If mapping in hammer is your goal then go make something in hammer.
