Anyways, map is excellent so far, I'm gonna try to finish it up when I have more time.
Someone has put walk through on youtube if you get really stuck.
About the framerate; I optimised as much as I could. I'm not sure what else I could do to increase the FPS I'm afraid. Probably just reducing the overall huge model count would help... if I can bring myself to do it.
Also, by playing with 'mat_wireframe 3' I can tell that you have a lot of brushes that should be func_detail. That alone would improve your visleafs and performance. You should also use hint brushes on maps like these to manually split your vislefs.
You probably won't bother editing any of this on these maps but you really should look into better optimization for future maps.
The visuals are good, but there is some real differences from room to room. Sometimes it feels like something out of the single player and sometimes it's just plain and odd looking. A bit more consistency would be nice.
I just couldn't solve Part 2. Now, I'm the guy that gets frustrated when I can't figure stuff out and I know other people like cryptic puzzles, but I thought that Part 2 was weird. The first puzzle was spread out over such a large area. Why?
Damn, don't have time to wright more right now. The maps were good, but laggy and a bit cryptic in my opinion.

I tried my best to make clean visleafs. The problem is just that all the chambers use a very open plan, almost everything is visible all at once so visleafs can't really help. I couldn't easily fix this, it's just something I have to more aware of next time. More corners!
The other problem is there are multiple chambers in one map, something Valve avoided. I could split the maps further, but again that's a big change to make this late.
I've learnt from this for my next map.

No Steam = No Portal = No Maps

Less than SEVEN dollars. That's about three slices of plain pizza. Two if you get tons of toppings.
Given the hours of entertainment I've gotten out of Portal 2, I'd say $6.79 is an incredible price. Just buy the game.

@Logic: That part took me forever in the earlier version, too. He made it a bit easier though by one special sign with an arrow pointing on an important surface. Hope this helps. ![]()

why pay?

this is the first map in years that i cant play because of that steam stuff
So what you're saying is that YOU, a person that haven't payed shit for a game that some people have been working their asses off on should have the same rights as people that have bought the game?
NO! Thats like saying that you should get a free pizza out of a coupon that you made yourself!
Buying a game = The right/ability to make/play custom maps = Lots and lots of fun!
Stealing a game = No rights whatsoever = Getting yelled at on a forum = Not fun!
