It took me a bit to complete considering the darkness, but I managed it. I noticed the observation room window is in the second chamber, and it's more brighter there. You can try adding more of these windows. They give off a fair bit of light. Adding more of those light bars can help even if it means a whole row of them across the wall. Dark panels as you know, don't reflect much light. Also, if there's ledges below the light, things could be dark because the ledge might block some light. It does seem darker than usual, so try constructing something of the same shape, and then just plaster it with light bars across the top of the wall and here and there. Jump into it and check it out after that and see. That's about all I can tell you.

There was a bug causing all maps to be unusually dark, but it's been fixed now. Just go back to the editor and republish your map - it should recompile with the correct settings.

I will be re-uploading that map and a new one later tonight. The new one feels too, large. I am trimming down as much unused space as I can without changing the feel of what you are supposed to do.

An option to add the number dots on the wall would be nice to give people a hint as to what part of the map they should be looking at next.

Update: re-uploaded , no more dark rooms yay!

Hey guys! So made a practice map and then went ahead and tried to make my first map which is this one. I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out. The puzzle involves using tractor beams and lasers in a fairly complex way (unless there's an unintended solution somehow!). i think most seasoned portal 2 players will enjoy it. please check it out and comment if you played it:

I've finally managed to upload 4 out of the 5 Hammer maps I've created.

I'm going to recreate the first one I've ever made because I was a terrible map maker back then. (You know, back when we were using Alien Swarm's SDK) The map is completely surrounded in an entire box and there is no entrance/exit elevators, and when I try and fix the giant box thing pretty much everything leaks outside the map so I'm going to recreate that one in a clean style for the workshop.

I suggest having another forum section for coop maps, those maps get instantly buried under all these PTI maps.

I created a map called "Heartbeat" and it's been getting some nice feedback so far. Please try it out and let me know what you think (ideally by posting some comments to the workshop page.)
