A very short but seemingly impossible single fling map.

No cubes. No buttons. No gels. Just you and your portal gun - the way God intended.

I don't want to give away the solution too quickly - even once you know it, pulling it off can take some practice. Once you figure it out though, the technique required here can be used for unintended solutions in other maps.

I got it.
But in a rather... unintended way.

Basically, I used Portal 2's version of the "Peek-a-Portal" glitch. See a demonstration of this glitch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFpV1hps ... plpp_video (Glitch is shown 0:20-0:26)

I shot a portal on the floor in the big room, and a portal in the small hallway below the exit door. I fell into the portal, and shot a portal on the wall (peekaportal). Now, i was in the hallway with a portal on the top of the wall in the fling room. I shot a portal on the floor in the hallway, and did peekaportal again: While falling through, I shot a portal on the slanted panel. I came out the portal in the fling room, fell from the top, shot a portal below me, and there we go.

Sorry if this is confusing, but that's how I did it.

Actually, that was intended. I've always called the technique "tunnelling". You can't do it on walls any more like you were able to in Portal 1, but you can still do it on the floors.

The reason you can't do it the same in Portal 2 is because in the first Portal, when you fired your gun, it would actually shoot an object. When the object hit the wall, it became a portal. In portal 2, no actual object is fired. A portal is just placed where you aim it. The reason tunneling works is because your player is actually slightly above your actual camera... which allows portals to be fired on the other side, barely.
To sum up: If you shot a portal a mile away.. in the first Portal it would take a while to get there, in Portal 2 it would appear instantly.
Anyways, enough about glitching, nice challenge map, I enjoyed it

If the portal gun in Portal 2 worked the same way as it did in Portal 1 (with projectile travel time), the ending of portal 2 would have been rather anti-climatic while you wait for your portal to travel the 384,400km to the moon. And you'd have to lead the moon a bit or you'd miss, haha.

Hahah, exactly ... I guess it's not a surprise the portal gun got a speed upgrade, the time between Portal 1 and 2 is about 9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9...9
