Zooming Glitch/Bug

I'm having an incredibly annoying problem, every time I'm creating a puzzle and I zoom in, I stop seeing the map, the interface is still there, but not the map, like if I had removed it, or If the camera went off bounds. The unbearable part is that zooming back out does not seem to work, neither does hitting the Undo button, not even reloading or rebuilding the map.
The entire interface looks the same, but I just can't see the map.

Please help, making maps is almost impossible under this condition.

I have an iMac Processor 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8gb 1067
Graphics Card ATI Radeon HD 4850 512 MB
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.3

Have you tried verifying the game cache yet?

Seems a few people have this problem.

Does it happen on the basic start map, without you doing any changes, or is it only happening on a map that you have done changes to?

Also, if its only certain maps, can you post an example here of the .p2c file.

It happens every single time, even if it's new and haven't done anything to it.

it's the extension of the puzzle file. It's located Steam\steamapps\common\portal 2\portal2\puzzles\<<number>>\

Yep, thats it.

Well, it loads fine for me, so that means its something you must do that gets it into that state, and its nothing wrong with your actual map file.

The only thing I can suggest, is for you to try to notice what keys/things you do just before it happens.

Macs do not cope well with some games!
If you have a Windows computer, I suggest using it for this. If it still doesn't work, you are a very unlucky person.

I also play on a mac, and I have the same problem... If I accidentally zoom in too far (which is very easy to do on a magic mouse), then I can never get that level back again... however, whilst there doesn't seem to be a solution, there IS a prevention method...

SAVE SAVE SAVE.
I always hit ctrl+s to save my chamber before I build it, so if/when I ever zoom in to far and lose the level, just exit out of the puzzle maker without saving, and then go back into puzzlemaker with your map, and it'll be exactly where you last saved, zoom level and all!

Save frequently, and you'l be fine.
