The puzzle wasn't very puzzling -- looking around for a few minutes makes it obvious what needs to be done. But getting it done wasn't all that easy. Still, it certainly had some unique elements to it. I enjoyed it.

Took me a while to work out how to paint the cube, during which I found out something very interesting - If you leave a cube just over half way into the portal, you can jump off it and shoot the next portal while the cube remains on the other side. It's really buggy, though, and more often than not you'll just get stuck on the cube unable to move.

Anyway, I eventually realised you can just about see one of the top-level surfaces form the lightbridge, so it was easy. I made a demo of my solution - I even did the last part while an earthquake was happening!:

I love this type of cube-based puzzle.

The weighted companion cube is such character, despite not being able to speak (or so they tell me every night before they make me sleep).

The top row of white tiles could be a little more visible, so that portaling on them seems more like a solution rather than an unintended oversight.

The way the last part works, it feel like you're done as soon as you put the gelled-up cube through the laser grid. Everything after that point seems unnecessary. You might be able to break all those elements up into more separate puzzles, or just remove the entire last room, reverse the excursion funnel, and put the cube receptacle at the end of it.

Otherwise, nice design, really cute. I think the puzzles aptly fit your "easy/medium" label, although they are perhaps more on the easy side. The map could be a little longer to make it feel more like a journey with your companion.

Thank you for the demo! It's pretty much the intended solution. This map was not supposed to be very difficult, just a concept idea to work with. Maybe I'll reuse this concept in a more complex map in the future.

I personally would call this map very easy, but that's probably just my experience. Some of the guys who just started playing custom maps with the PTI release would probably call this medium; that's why it's kinda difficult to label the difficulty correctly.
Also thank you for your feedback. Will make the next companion cube map more like a journey for you

I posted "A bit too much relying on ninja-moves for my taste, but still very nice." on the Workshop file. I never saw I could see the highest surface for the paint job. Instead I did a diagonal jump from the second row and replaced the bridge midair to the top row. That's the ninja-move I meant which took a while to make it work.

When you are on the bridge and crouch you should be able to see the surface which needs to be portal'ed. Then you can just go through the Portal and you're up there.

For this map using a ninja jump is legit but not necessary.

It had it's hard moments, but other than that, great map! My biggest time consuming part in the map was keeping the wall button pressed with the cube. Your maps have a unusual twist to them which makes it awesome.
