Rapid Effusion
There are two ratman dens and a mysterious observer, can you find them all?
I accidently got myself stuck in a loop in the second test where I put a portal under the diversity vent that was sucking in, and another portal on the panel where the vent ends. I ended up going in a circle. So thanks for putting in autosaves
No complaints, only that it should be longer- but for 5 days, that's brilliant work. ![]()
About the loop, you actually can exit it if you press one of the movement keys (W A S D). In portal 2 you can slightly change your flight path and try not to fall on the portal.
- quite easy but that's how an introduction level should be. Particularly liked the last chamber and how you move through tubes, it looked very neat! The map played well, looked good and I really hope to see more from this series and those vacuum tubes <Insert official name here> in the future. I need to scribble down some puzzle-ideas I got while playing this now, thanks for mapping! 5/5
At first, I thought it was going to be another terrible Portal 1 remake, but the second I was through the door, I had a huge grin! I love how everthing is wide and open, with plenty of light surfaces, and areas purely for detail. The puzzle itsself was relatively relaxing and straightforward and I loved the use of vents to provide delays. Cheers

And oh yeah.. smooth jazz!

Also, I love how your maps always have a fizzler up to an area, and I never see it until I solve the puzzle twice.
I give it a 8/10

Feedback
-I like how if you got sucked in the Diversity Vent, you see how you go through the tubes, just like the Art Therapy course in Portal 2 Co-op.

-I didn't use the angled panel. I think I solved it in an unintended solution. xP
-I was a little disappointed that behind the exit door of the Relaxation Vault was not Test Chamber 00. But it was still creative that you changed it a little because most mappers do that.
-I liked how theres alot of secret areas and Ratman Dens, very interesting. You should let the radio play some music though, maybe Still Alive or Exile Vilify?
-I also liked how you revisited most of Chapter 1's areas, like the Oracle Turret area, the Relaxation Vault and what looks like Test Chamber 02. Also, loved the smooth jazz. ^^v
Overall I would give it 5/5! Excellent work! Hope to see more maps made by you!

- I know there's a way to shoot a portal over to the 'ceiling panel' above the cube. I tried to block that solution but I guess it's not perfect. But if this isn't how you solved that, do upload your blindrun.
- Thanks. The radio room was intended to lead to an escape route, but because of time constraints I had to delete that part. However I left that small bts area, and added some Ratman props. I really wanted the radio to play Exile Vilify but I just couldn't find the sound clip... And again, because of time constraint I just gave up searching for it. (Question: what's the name of Exile Vilify in the sound library?)

EDIT: Uploaded! Go watch it, thanks!

Enjoy! And tell me if I solved in an unintedned solution. xP
Do not read if you are judge!
||This was a highly enjoyable map, it was more an exploratory / transition instead of a puzzle map, however with a little more tweaking and detailing it could even be misinterpreted as one of Valve's work.
The dialogue used was humorous, the ambience great, plus the detailing was very well done. <redacted>... I noticed a few things that looked copy/pasted from Valves maps. I am not a fan of copying other people's work, for any reason.
I liked the little secret area too (even though it wasn't really secret).
Keep up the good work! (make sure you polish this map further)||
