Mapping Ping/Portal sensitive walls. Need help

Hello, I am making a cooperative map, my first submission in fact, and I would like some advice.

How do I set up a trigger that reacts to portals and Ping-Tools?
I need some help figuring this one out

At the very end you shoot a portal and a spike plate will come out and try to kill you. and fail.

And I want to make this event sudden by isolating the character, and having them do one of the few actions they will be capable of, Portaling. Please help.

thanks, not quite the effect I was looking for, But this will definitely give me the effect. I just need to add some custom textures to explain the function in text. But I still wish I knew portal triggers

Well if you want to detect portals func_portal_detector is your entity of choice.
