Custom skins not working [SOLVED (not really) ]
this happens also with other objects like Wheatleys eye metalical arms and so on... but when he is in the central AI body his eye is good, but it's annonying to see these buged textures. i'm using this tutorial http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... light=skin
when i install a skin this same happens... i'm doing everything good (i think)

But why don't you ask the thread creator of the steam thread you posted? He wrote:

and Wheatley witout the AI has the left and right pplates all white instead of gears , and his eye is also white

Do that for all the .vtf files. Adding an extra letter/number to the end can (and has) messed it up. You don't actually need the .vmts, too. Oh, and can you upload the skins that you were trying to get to work? Because what you linked to at mediafire (I'm pretty sure) was the normal Wheatley skin.

It's not an instantaneous process. I have to configure the files, load the game, find Wheatley, take pics, upload them....
