Hello TWP! After years of coming to this site to play some amazing Portal 1 and 2 custom maps, I'd like to give back by sharing a collection of my PTI chambers. I'm quite proud of them and the amount of positive feedback I've received. I'll update the thread with pictures and descriptions as new chambers come out. For now, enjoy Azorae's Grand Designs!

Here's a map-by-map rundown. I'll have a picture and description for each map within the next few days.

Pierce

Screenshot

An easy chamber to start off the collection, Pierce is a quick chamber that explores the properties of lasers.

_______________

Pinpoint

Screenshot

Pinpoint builds on what was taught in Pierce, and provides a more challenging puzzle.

_______________

Gap Bounce

Screenshot

This chamber is somewhat of an extension of a chamber from the Old Aperture section of the main Portal 2 campaign. Expect some new twists to the old concept of using flip panels and gel to climb a room.

_______________

Lasercross

Screenshot

An exercise in obstacles and detours, Lasercross is a combination Laser/Momentum puzzle. This is also the only map in the pack (so far, at least) that uses Ben's Extended Editor for custom lights.

_______________

Entanglement

Screenshot

You'll need everything that's given to you in order to manipulate a dropped cube.

Mevious: "Azorae's Entanglement was awesome enough to spawn two remakes."
These very cool remakes, by Mevious himself and Gig, can be found in this collection.

More to come, thanks for playing!

I've been busy lately and unable to work on this thread, so I have a few new maps to introduce:

Convergence

Screenshot

You need to get a cube to the exit door to open it, but don't think that you'll be taking the same path.

Solitude

Screenshot

This is the first map in the collection that was made top to bottom in Hammer. As such, it has its own thread, which can be found by following the link. Solitude is a relatively difficult Laser/Funnel puzzle that is fairly complex. Check out the thread for more information.

Entangling the bridge and funnel is clever. However, it took quite a while to get the trick - actually I made a mistake with portal choice at the end of the funnel and led to the solution by accident. Could have a large frustration factor without some guidance.

I saw one other map which entangled both type of funnel as well. Still an excellent map set, thanks much for creating.

I don't know how I could have missed these awesome maps for so long. I'm just working my way through them - after 3/4 of them I'm currently stuck in "Lasers and Lightbridges" - and so far each chamber has been great.

The puzzles never require ninja timing but just logical sequences of correct portal placement. Sounds easy, still each of the chambers kept me thinking for at least 10-15 minutes and at most a good hour.

Besides the great difficulty, I really like how the layout supports the puzzles. There's always enough glass to see everything necessary but never so much glass that it gets confusing and in the way of the puzzle.

Quick bump to announce a new map from me and Gig, Sectors. It's a neat little out-of-the-box laser puzzle. Enjoy!

Nice! The only tiny downside is that it's easy to misplace portals. But all possible improvements I could think of would most likely make the puzzle too easy so it's probably not worth it.
