The High Floor Dilemma

A dilemma is a problem offering two possibilities, neither of which is practically acceptable... Will you be able to overcome both of them to find the true solution?

Hola t?o! ?Qu? tal va todo?

I think that the puzzle needs to be worked out a bit, since I think I did unintendedly. Indeed I think there are many different solutions as it is now, so you may want to tweak it a bit... maybe adding some glass walls? You tell me:

Anyway, it seems it'll be challenging, and a great little puzzle with a tricky solution. Let's check the next version

Owch crap... The video is still processing, but I think I've figured out what you did.
Edit: Yeah, more or less what I expected...

I'll upload a fixed version ASAP... Thanks for playing!

Done!

I want to keep the map with as many portalable surfaces as possible, but I had to remove a couple of them to avoid the funnel trick. Now it may be possible (although extremely unlikely) to trap the cube on the upper floor so I had to add a cube replacement button aswell... Hope not to have added new ways to break the map with that...

Let me know what you can come up with!

Sorry, I broke it again. Was not my intention but I wanted to show you:

(give it some minutes yet...)

I'm still working on the intended, but today I'm tired, I'll try again tomorrow

OK, a fix for that is up already! You can still get onto the high floor that way if you want, as long as the cube stands on the low floor button...

Just for the record, there isn't any kind of ninja move or cube throwing required to solve the map.

Hehe... Markiu's idea of using the exit door's fizzler to respawn the cube?

Nice puzzle!

Have a link to Markiu's map? I supposed someone had done a similar map before, but I've never played any...

You may also want to put under spoiler tags what you're saying there...

Thanks for playing!

Hah, beautiful little puzzle! It would've taken me ages if I hadn't just played marKiu's map!

This puzzle is not that hard, if you know the trick, but if you don't know it,
you will pretty much spend all day on that map... =)

But i Have to say there is another solution:
unintented solution
- take the funnel
- let the cube move to upper floor
- let it move behind the light bridge
- place the portal left/right and the cube will pass the light bridge
- now just walk on the button, place the portal and done

Yeah, I'm aware of that unintended solution, but it kinda depends on luck and I think it's obvious enough that it's not the intended one. If that PlacementHelper thing from Hammer (to snap portals to grid) is ever added to the PTI editor, then I'll make an update. I prefer keeping a clean map design otherwise...

Thanks for playing it guys!
