you have descriptions similar in a lot of areas in this forum as for example, announcements, it says post map releases here, this hammer and modding section says post screenshots of upcoming maps, then u have a thread for map showcases....

so i think i have a fair argument, i couldn't post a thread in the announcement section, there was no post option, that is why i came into the IRC and asked, yes maybe i shouldn't have said that second sentence, but sorry msleeper, you are out of order the way you treat and talk to people.

you are a bully and using that type of language towards a fellow person is just totally unacceptable, i merely said a statement in the IRC chat, that of course you wouldn't like that because u have never liked me since i joined this forum, (but for a forum owner to disrespect other members the way you do and bully them is totally unacceptable. oh and you ask Lpfreaky90 what a awesome person i really am msleeper, you don't even know me....

There you go again, blaming msleeper for a thread that a different person entirely started. At any rate, WinstonSmith made this thread for people who want to show their work-in-progress map, but don't necessarily want to start a whole discussion thread about just one map. It clearly says that in the within the first four sentences of the first post in that thread.

You can't post there because the "News and Announcements" forum is reserved for news and announcements about Portal 2 and ThinkingWithPortals.com events, which are posted exclusively in this forum by the staff.

• Firstly, post your screenshots in the ThinkingWithPortals Map Showcasing Thread, not in a separate thread.

• Secondly, not everyone can create a thread in the News and Announcements section. Only (I guess) msleeper and Senior Stalemate Associates (moderators) can create a thread in it. (Unless a moderator moves a thread related to the news of Portal 2 in it) Its not for you to post about your upcoming map releases, but rather (I think) news and announcements of Portal 2 and upcoming map releases from Portal 2. (And other exciting things related to Portal 2 [like a release of a new DLC, or news about a mapping contest])

• Thirdly, yes, the Hammer and Modding section says "Post screenshots of your upcoming maps...", thats because the ThinkingWithPortals Map Showcasing Thread is in the Hammer and Modding section. Its always at the top of the section. Can't you see?

• Fourthly, I think you shouldn't always blame and treat msleeper that way. Theres always a reason why a person "doesn't like" you. You must've done something. Think about it.

i have done absolutely nothing wrong, since i joined this forum, the thing i did when i first joined was post some maps i made that then got deleted because msleeper thought they was playground maps.

I have moved on in hammer 100 X fold since i posted those first maps i did, of course i would have posted rubbish maps, i was only just learning hammer.

and me asking for help in IRC was not even a bad thing either, because i saw loads of others ask for help in it.

i am not sorry for the way i am and have been treated since i joined this forum, because i was learning hammer in those first few months, but then for msleeper to post this really personal attack towards me yet again - thus now taking the emphasis of this thread in the first place has now totally ruined this thread and now made me feel i will not be releasing or finishing this map now, and that is final, so unless i get an apology that is all i have left to say simple.

bullying is totally unacceptable especially from the person who runs this forum

think about that

other forums have anti bullying and anti personal attack rules in place, but obviously that is not the case here, it seems it is just a free for all and people can do what they choose... totally unacceptable...

I'm not trying to be mean or anything but, it's not like we're anticipating your map. There are alot of maps in the workshop and community. And not finishing your map for such reasons is just dumb.

causes frustration for the boss, but I think the rage received over three lines of IRC chat is outrageous though. Confusion about where to post a thread shouldn't be a reason to be offensive to people though. I think a bunch of you went too far here.

RJ is a nice guy who's trying to get his map as good as possible, he's a person that fits in what msleeper posted a while ago:

This place was indeed a good place to post your map, though the showcase thread might have been a better place, but don't worry.

It's less about "three lines in IRC", and more that this kid literally blames me for everything that goes wrong, that he does wrong, or that is wrong, pretty much from day one. THAT is why he was banned in IRC in the first place. I'm so completely over hearing about it. It has nothing to do with the quality of the maps he's making. It's the poor quality of his attitude.
