I don't know why because it wasn't doing this yesterday. I hadn't done anything to the previous maps and the new ones haven't incorporated anything that would significantly effect the game engine that way.

I verified my files on both portal 2 and authoring tools and it didn't do anything to help.

So I am at a loss here

It could be a corrrputed instance you are using in all of them...

And the file verification would have replaced the broken instances if that were the case. I will try reinstalling the whole thing and see what happens

EDIT: well whatever it was, it's been fixed
