More playing around/Porting. Seems only the electric gel and some vent puzzles are the only things that can not work in P1. Other then that, everything else is do-able.

Wow, it's been forever since I've made a map. I'm back mapping again and have a new map in the works. It's still a WIP so it may look a little bland (and pardon the darkness of some areas).

I'm starting to test with walls moving around and how to add hidden hazards. The 3rd and 5th picture show a black wall which is one of the walls that will open up. Also, the testing elements in each room are to be used at least twice, once in a small simple puzzle, and again in a little more complicated puzzle. After I finish and polish the map up, I'll post more pictures.

It looks cool, but like iWork said is little wierd.. especially with this black background =/ i hope that this be just for test.

Ehmmm... to me it's obvious that's a cordon bounding only what has been done so far :biggrin: I'm working on a open map atm that right now looks really similar to those screenshots...

Nice map Idolon ! I like the old-aperture style even if it's very tricky to map.

One thing you could do to drastically improve your lighting is have a constant light at a dark color/low intensity in the middle of the room.

Got bored yesterday. Started to make everything look like GamesCom 2010 a bit. I remade
the wall lights, made a new metal texture and ported some P1 stuff. Oh, also reskined
the Portal door, I dunno how to restore the door to it's former form we saw before it was released.

Looks nice!

There's a download somewhere here that includes the untextured diversity vents if you want to add those.
