Ok so i am making a big race map and i am trying to make it as not frustrating as possible. I'm putting a lot of checkpoint and signs and stuff but could really use some advice. So what do you like and what do you hate about race maps. What frustrates you and what makes you enjoy them. For example do you like moving platforms or should they burn in hell? Do you like a few puzzles thrown in the race or not? Should the one player be able to slow down the other at some points? Do you think its a good idea to have two seperate routes and let the players decide where to go?

Well, I think that if players had the option to slow the opponent down, it would give the race map a more "competitive" effect, if that's what you're trying to achieve.

EDIT: Lpfreaky90 has the right idea, she said it perfectly, disregard this. ^

I think a good race map should:
- be good looking
- have multiple different challenges
- have checkpoints before every challenge
- aren't too ninja-ish
- have the opportunity for the last player to get closer to the first player with a shortcut.
- allow people to annoy each other.

That's all I can think of at the moment
