Can't you change there something? I alway wantetd that my maps are available for everyone :sad:
Anyway, Still great that you making new Gels :smile: How much different Gels are you planing?

Emm, if someone adds an ability to pak particles in P2, I'm pretty sure it would be OK, though I think only Valve can do that.

I have an idea for the Useless Shiny Gel :
In singleplayer campaing, Cave Johnson said that the gel is alive ! (and it does not appreciate human bones, but we don't care :lol: )

An alive gel, like an NPC !

I'm still thinking on what It could do, but maybe you could use it to "build" structures like stairs, and allow acess to specific places in a puzzle !

FireFusorf: I actually have something like that working now, although it doesn't use the shiny gel effect. It's the Sentience Gel idea, when applied to a cube. I'll try to find a way to take a video...

Flo: I found a way to do it, but it's very jerky. As soon as you touch a wall you snap to it. Sickle had a way of making it smooth, but it was still very glitchy and occasionally threw you out of the map. I can post my code if anyone has a good idea.

would be great if you get it, it's the most important and iteresting thing of the sticky gel.

You could try the hypercam trial, its bad quality but it records. Or there is the fraps trial.

The fraps trial can only record 30 seconds, there are other soft like Camstudio http://camstudio.org/ It's completely free, but make sure to configure it well to get a good image quality.

I've tried CamStudio, it lagged until I seriously lowered the resolution. What settings do you use with it?

Can you pleas add the wall-walk funktion to the glue Gel?
I don't think, the transion can be so bad that it is a reason to cut out the function completly, more important is the walk on walls and top itself, isn't it? D:

Please make it possible, it would be really awesome!

Okay, I'll try to put together a demo. You'll see it's pretty disorienting, and at the moment you can't walk from a wall onto another wall (only floor to wall).

Would it be possible to, for instance, re-create the Propulsion Gel, if it hadn't been added in the game in the first place? (Like if there was only the Repulsion and Conversion gel.) Because if so, it would give me an idea of just how much you could do in custom maps/scripts.

Certainly, Propulsion Gel would be the easiest. I'd add a global math_counter with a min of 0 and a max of 99999, OnChangedFromMin activate a player_speedmod, OnHitMin reactivate it. Then the gel blobs would create trigger_multiples where they hit, OnStartTouch counter Add 1, OnEndTouch counter Subtract 1.

I should upload this, I just realized I never did. Sorry about that.

Very cool, I'm looking forward to the release.

I wanted to through the idea out there that I've always thought it'd be cool to have a gel that other gels would bounce off of.(like repulsion gel for gels.) I thought it could make some cool mechanics.
My other gel idea was frictionless gel, which is pretty much self-explainitory.
