[SP] Gelocity Time Trial - Track 2
A Singleplayer version of Gelocity Stage 2 but with a couple of changes.
This map is not a puzzle but a race track covered with orange speed gel.
Like in the first Gelocity Time Trial your task is to reach the finish line in a limited time.
You will probably need a few laps until you know all tricks - so give it at least a second try!
Feel free to post your best times! 
For the fastest of you I have added a scoreboard to the map. If you are good enough and want to be listed there, you have to post the following things:
- your name
- fastest lap
- a link to a youtube video or a *.dem demo file to prove your lap time
I will update the scoreboard maybe one time every month.
Please note that this map is really large. That is why it takes a while to download it.

I've been playing for a few hours now though, and found a few nice shortcuts, but I'm still losing 4-6 seconds on the first checkpoint and can't figure out where (DrFauli gave me times but not pointers, haha). Even if I pre-place some portls, then fling up and run back to the start with the exit portals in place. Arrrrgh! Must.. find.. shortcut!
So uhm, I discovered that holding the strafe key actually slows you down cough... after that I didn't have the energy to try much harder Bwahaha.
Anyway, 1:12:43 - I'll go for that extra half second another time

Raidix wanted me to test the map to see which times are possible
and that means I have to avoid using any glitches, cheats or other
things "a normal player" would not use.
I just kept playing the map over and over again and improved every corner
and after maybe 100+ laps I got my time down to 01:10.72, then 01:10.68
... some laps later 01:10.57 and finally 01:10.55 (which I got 3 times)

Great how you got the exact same time and cant believe it yourself...
But I have to say: You are loosing a alot of time at some places... you could still
get faster and get below 01:10.00 ... AND I don't use these "circle jumps" at all.
(You are hopping the whole track, altough its not a b-hop, its still faster - I Don't use that either)

Yeah, I know its difficult to NOT use all these things, the portal game engine allows to do.
When I was trying to improve my times, I also did some circle jumps "by accident"...

Haha, if I would have recorded all of my tries, my harddisk would be full right now.
1920x1200x60 FPS uncompressed AVI recorded with Fraps, where 1 min = 4,1 GB...
I just used the demo recording of portal, so Raidix can see what I tried and what to improve.
(You cant play the demo, because you dont have the test map =/ ...)
Try to beat my time, and maybe I gonna try to beat yours then - with a video!
