Weapon_portalgun not shooting info_placement_helpers

I'm making a map where I have a rotating Portalgun in the middle, and I need to make the portal snap to the placement helper I set up, but the gun doesn't. My gun works just fine, but I guess if it isn't on the player, it doesn't follow those rules. Is there a way I can get it to work or maybe an alternative to an info_placement_helper?

Why would you need an info_placement_helper if the gun is constrained? Just point the gun straight at whatever you want to shoot.

Cheat and make the stand non-solid. Or you could use four prop_portals and some particle effects. You could also put the gun on a vertical func_door to move it slightly before firing.

You COULD hang the portalgun pedestal from the bottom of a raised platform of some description, making sure it still fires through the holes, natch.

Hey,

Have you tried using Chickenmobile's instance for a rotating portal gun? It shoots at ground level if that's what you need (so you don't need to jump a little to get into the portal).

I'm alreadt using that, and getting in the portal isn't my problem at the moment. I'll try moving the gun upside down from soething. Thanks for the help.
